Tereza Beglaryan
Armenian soprano Tereza BEGLARYAN discovered her passion for music at the age of six, when her uncle - Sedrak Yerkanyan, Honored Artist of Culture of Armenia, conductor of the Tagharan Ensemble of Ancient Music - recognized her natural talent and encouraged her to pursue vocal studies. She went on to attend a specialized music school focused on preserving and developing young voices, where she built the foundation of her artistry. Later, her studies at the Waldorf School (Aregnazan Education Complex) further broadened her creativity, providing inspiration and exposure to diverse fields beyond music, and shaping her into a versatile and expressive performer. She completed her Bachelor’s degree at the Yerevan State Conservatory under Prof. Olga Zakaryan. She continued her studies in Austria, where she received an Artist Diploma under the guidance of Dr. Prof. Victoria Loukyanetz, the world-renowned opera singer. Later, she obtained her Master’s degree of the Arts at Kalaidos Musikhochschule Zurich, also studying with Dr. Professor Victoria Loukianetz. Her career has taken her to numerous stages across Europe, with performances in Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Armenia, Georgia, Norway, Denmark, France and Hungary.
Notable roles include Donna Anna in Mozarts Don Giovanni at the Varna State Opera under conductor Ayrat Kashaev, and Fiordiligi in Mozart’s Così fan tutte at the Vienna Opera Academy under Giuseppe Stiliano. She was a finalist at the auditions at Teatro Comunale in Modena, where she worked under Maestro Leone Magiera. She has appeared in major concerts with the Presidential Orchestra of Ukraine under Natalya Stets and the Kyiv Chamber Orchestra under Maestro Mykola Lyssenko at the Summer Festival in Kyiv. In November 2024, she recorded her first-ever vinyl album with pianist Asmik Antonyan in Yerevan, with production completed in Zurich. The album features a rich and diverse international program, from Verdi and Kálmán to Tchaikovsky and beyond, marking a major milestone in her artistic journey and bringing her voice to a wider audience.
For the past three years, she has been a soloist and ensemble member of the Romantik Theater in Lower Austria, appearing in three productions by Austrian composer Roland Baumgartner. She created leading roles in the world premieres of Hotel Royal, Träume im Orientexpress and Sterne über Atlantis two-act operettas with roles written especially for her unique voice. She has had the honor of working with and training under renowned artists such as Sumi Jo, Fabio Armiliato, Toby Purser, Christopher Lyndon-Gee, Darla Diltz, and Armando Ariostini, participating in both professional collaborations and masterclasses.
Tereza Beglaryan's repertoire is extensive and diverse, encompassing operas, operettas, chamber music, Lieder, Russian and Armenian romances, liturgical music. She performs in nine different languages, showcasing remarkable versatility and cultural breadth. One of her defining qualities, often highlighted by conductors, is her incredibly warm and velvety voice, which captivates audiences and brings unique depth to every performance. Alongside her operatic and concert career, she is also active as an actress, appearing in various commercial TV projects in Austria. A versatile and expressive artist, she combines her musical background with a passion for acting. In her childhood, she trained as a circus performer. Today, she is recognized as an extraordinary performer, building strong connections with audiences and colleagues alike.
Tereza Beglaryan is co-founder of Lux Vienna Productions in Austria, laying the groundwork for future creative projects and ambitious artistic visions. This major initiative reflects her dedication not only as a performer but also as a creator and visionary in the arts.
