Christopher Hickman

British-Croatian psychotherapist Christopher Anthony Hickman began his studies in psychology at Webster Private University in Vienna, Austria, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. He continued his professional training in psychoanalysis and psychotherapy at Sigmund Freud Private University and the Psychoanalytisches Seminar Innsbruck, where he is completing his advanced training under supervision.

Christopher has gained extensive clinical experience working with diverse populations. He currently provides psychoanalysis and psychoanalytic psychotherapy in private practice in Vienna, while also supporting employees at Chestnut Global Partners Europe in Budapest and offering therapy through the Los Angeles-based charity Rise Above The Disorder (RAD) to individuals who cannot afford treatment. Previous roles include internships and clinical work with homeless populations, children, and individuals in crisis, both in Austria and online.

His academic work includes a Master’s thesis on “Depression: A Unified Theory, Psychoanalysis, Cognitive-Behavioural Theory and Existential Therapy Combined,” demonstrating his commitment to integrating multiple therapeutic approaches. He also wrote his Bachelor thesis on the effects of perfume on conscious and unconscious emotions.
